Components :
  • 8 flour tortillas 8-10 inches
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a Mexican blend
  • 1 cup cooked protein optional: shredded chicken, ground beef, or black beans
  • 1/2 cup vegetables optional: diced bell peppers, onions, or corn
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro optional, chopped
  • 1 tsp olive oil or butter per quesadilla
Optional Toppings :
  • Salsa
  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole
  • Jalapeños
  • Hot sauce
Instructions :
1. Prep Ingredients :

Grate cheese and chop any additional fillings you want to include protein, vegetables, or herbs.

2. Assemble the Quesadilla :
  • Lay one tortilla flat on a plate or cutting board.
  • Sprinkle a layer of cheese evenly over the tortilla about 1/4 cup.
  • Add your chosen protein and vegetables on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle another layer of cheese over the fillings and cover with a second tortilla.
3. Cook the Quesadilla :
  • Heat a large skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat. Add a bit of olive oil or butter to the pan.
