Ingredients :
- 2 cups mixed vegetables bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, snap peas, etc.
- 2 tablespoons oil sesame or vegetable
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, minced
- 2-3 dried red chilies or 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili paste Sambal Oelek or similar
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar optional
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar optional, to balance heat
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water for thickening
- 1 tablespoon chopped scallions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions :
1. Heat the Oil
In a wok or large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
2. Sauté Garlic & Ginger
Add minced garlic, ginger, and dried red chilies. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Add Vegetables
Toss in the mixed veggies and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until they start to soften but remain crisp.
4. Spice It Up
Add soy sauce, sriracha, chili paste, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.
5. Balance Flavors
Add vinegar and honey if using and mix well.
6. Thicken the Sauce
Pour in the cornstarch-water mixture and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the veggies evenly.
